IBIZA, MUCH MORE THAN A PARTY CAPITAL - The Sun Secret Collection

IBIZA, MUCH MORE THAN A PARTY CAPITAL

Everybody knows Ibiza, the island famous around the globe for its lively nightlife. Hedonistic pleasures like never ending beach parties and legendary super clubs are, no doubt, number one reason to visit Ibiza for many people. However, no surprise that just an equal number of holidaymakers come to this splendid Balearic island attracted by its natural landscape, best in class beaches, historical sites and laid back lifestyle. However, why not experience both, right? There is something to do in Ibiza for everyone.

WHAT TO DO

If lounging in perfect luxury and glam with VIP service, great music and delicious food, sounds like your thing, head to Nikki Beach. Stunning beach front venue with the pool, comprising a high-end restaurant, signature beach club and cool lifestyle boutique. Chic drapery, bohemian teepees, plush and white sunbeds, this all create perfect surroundings ideal for lazy summer days. The atmosphere is brought to perfection by Nikki Beach resident DJs or live music on electric violin and saxophone. The international menu is both extensive and impressive featuring a delicious range of sushi, seafood, sharing platters, salads and exquisite dishes.

Chartering a sailing yacht is another fantastic way to experience the best of Ibiza’s coastline, pristine white beaches and sparkling azure waters. Snack tapas on the deck of a beautiful boat, try all sorts of watersports or discover underwater life. Some of the favourite spots for the cruise excursion include the magical rock of Es Vedrà towering above the water, the uninhabited island of S’Espalmador and port of Formentera.

History lovers certainly find joy walking through the Ibiza old town, Dalt Vila, belonging to the World heritage by UNESCO since 1999, as well as the walls around, which are the best preserved fortification walls in the Mediterranean. Get lost in beautiful stone paved streets filled with restaurants, boutiques, art galleries, hotels and shops and maybe even buy yourself some precious souvenirs.

However the date of reopening Ibiza’s famous night clubs is still unclear, there are signs that you will be able to dance the whole night in one of the most iconic places of the night club scene pretty soon. Amnesia was first of the superclubs to publicly confirm party details, taking the reverse order approach and announcing its closing party will take place on October 23th with “all the world renowned superstars you would expect” promised to appear. Jamie Jones’ Paradise will also hold a residency at Amnesia, opening on June 23th and closing on October 7th. Eden looks set to be open from July 1st with tickets for Paul van Dyk’s SHINE Ibiza residency on sale now, and weekly parties planned to run through to September 23rd.  Even though superclubs remained closed last year, many of Ibiza’s beach clubs, day venues and bars did open and are expected to be open again, for the current season.
