Overview

This unique property is built in a spectacular, prevailing position that faces one of Tuscany’s most precious gems: Volterra, a city renowned for its art, history, and alabaster carving. Set in an enchanted scenery rich in contrasts, ambiance, sounds and tones, Villa Ida embraces elegance and luxury with a 360-degree view of the Tuscan landscape; it is a prime example of the excellence of traditional and innovative Italian architecture and provides its guests with an unforgettable immersive experience.

Once a small and compact rustic unit built of stone, is now transformed into a stylish destination suspended among valleys, woods, and olive trees with the Mediterranean Sea as its backdrop.

Fitted with the same native stone as the original construction, the villa towers over the valley and forms one with its surroundings: the juxtaposition between the sharpness of lines, scenic shadows of the structure and the breath-taking panorama immerses the guest in the history, charm, and legacy of this land.

The architectural project, commissioned to the prestigious Studio Milani, is inspired by the interaction between contemporary languages and landscape: loose stone merges into building as it joins the pre-existing structure with seamless Corten steel and glass fittings.

Formed by three main segments, each in tune with the other, the villa represents a blend of refined design elements, where rustic charm is combined with the precision of stark, more minimal, and modern lines.

The large, enclosed garden, which wraps around the building, is surrounded by a variety of ornate plants, and features an infinity pool overlooking the valley as well as a Jacuzzi for luxurious moments of well-being.

Complementing the uniqueness of the facility are a series of high-class services and experiences offered to the guest, thoughtfully tailored, and made to satisfy any kind of request.
